Meme Mania


I’ve been tagged by two different people recently to complete a couple memes.  I was tagged by Tot’s Mom at Toddler Humor.  Here goes…

The next meme is a bit more involved and I was tagged by Jen at My 3 Boys and I to complete it.  Each list was supposed to contain eight items each.  However I only got about three hours of sleep last night so I am going to stop at three items.  Here goes…

Three Things I Am Passionate About

  1. Momma and Ace - What would I do without them?
  2. Enjoying Life - I believe in work before play, but when the work is done…watch out!
  3. Putting Off Memes - Memes are not the most fun thing I can think of to do with my time, so they usually get put off until I am really bored (like right now) :)

Three Things I Want To Do Before I Die

  1. Go Skydiving - This has got to be the most awesome rush a person could get!
  2. Buy A Farm - What’s better than the smell of fresh manure first thing in the morning?
  3. Finish This Meme - Eventually it will happen…

Three Things I Say Often

  1. “What’s up little man?” - Talking to Ace of course…
  2. “What’s wrong little man?” - Again, talking to Ace…
  3. “Blah, Blah, Blah” - Fits every boring situation.  Try it!

Three Things That Attract Me To My Best Friends

  1. Ability To Have Fun and Laugh - Boring friends…what’s the point.  I can bore myself.  I don’t need friends to do that for me. :D

Three Things I Have Learned This Past Year

  1. Babies are not easily breakable - I am extremely surprised at how flexible Ace is and how he can fall smack on his face and not even care.  I think I would tear a few things (including my pants) if I stuck my foot in my mouth.
  2. When your wife is in the delivery room, in labor, and pushing…do not answer you cell phone…even if it is your Dad calling because he is lost and can not find the hospital. :)
  3. Blogging is pretty darn cool!

 Three People Who Should Do This Meme

  1. Anyone who thinks George Bush is a good president
  2. Anyone who thinks Britney Spears is a good Mom
  3. Anyone who is as bored as I was before doing this meme

LOL! You’re better than I am. I have yet to do a meme, though I’ve been tagged aplenty. It’s probably out of fear that people will clearly see just how uninteresting I am!!

Okay, so I’ve been told that I need to either write an article or post some comments, so here is my first….I promise people the thing about answering the phone is very true….to this day he still gets reminded of that! Funny - I also made that rookie mistake of answering my phone during labor. Granted, I was waiting for a prospective employer to call me back (hey, just trying to provide for my new family, right?), but I still get crap for that to this day. At least the employer was really impressed with my enthusiasm for the job when I told him “yeah, my wife is in labor right now, but no, it’s ok, I can talk…” Oops. Ended up not getting that job. Otherwise, I’d have a good defense for picking up the phone.

@BusyDad: Oh, if I would have answered because of trying to get a job I don’t think we would ever have another baby (snip snip) :)

It was funny…I was giving my Dad directions and in between pushing, my wife was telling me the directions I was giving was not the best way to get there. Next time I’m going to mail out directions and maps to everyone before hand. :)

You are lacking sleep and you still turn on your computer to do this?? No, I guess I shouldn’t say anything because I probably do the same. I think we are all on our way to becoming blogging addicts…
