Wow, glad to hear that Ace is doing fine now. Dehydration scares me 2nd most in kids (#1 is head injuries). And that first ER trip can be a scary one. Looks like it was a bigger deal for dad than for Ace, which is a good thing!

Jen: Better safe than sorry, right? :)

Xbox: Glad to be back! Yup ERs SUCK!

Tot's Mom: Thanks! Okie dokie!

Honeybell: If I knew much about "doctor" stuff and knew what you knew, I wouldn't have taken Ace to the ER. My gut told me he was OK, but the doctor said to go...

Momo: Thanks! I agree about Children's, from what I saw. We were in and out of there with an accurate diagnosis. What else could you ask for? :)

Stephen: Thanks Stephen!

Yes, going to the ER is no fun, especially with the little ones! Glad he's better now.

I'm glad he's better! We've been to Children's ER more times than I can count (my son has a heart condition and anytime he got as much as a cold when he was little, they'd send us there...even got admitted A LOT back in those days). They have a great staff there.

This makes me feel so guilty. As I'm a nurse, and my husband is a respiratory therapist, we are so medically negligent of our kids. My 12 year old recently dropped a glass on his foot, the wound was gaping open and obviously needed stitches. Deciding that preventing a scar on his foot wasn't worth the $100 to walk in the ER door . . . I super glued it shut. Should probably go ahead and start saving for the therapy now huh?
