When there's a chance to claim genius on behalf of your son, it's never "coincidence" and always 'above average smarts". At 10 months, that's all very unusual verbalisation ...

And Hossman: lol!

Joe: Fugue state...LOL! I'll have to remember that one. Reminds me of the "Look Who's Talking" movie. It's probably a good thing I can't hear what Ace wants to actually say. I would probably be offended... :D

HoneyBell: Phew...glad someone else has experienced this. So, I'm not just hearing things! Thought maybe I was losing MORE of my mind. :D

My youngest does this also. He just turned two, but had been "accidentally" saying words since he was about 9 months. My favorite is recently he has begun to say "bless you" when anyone sneezes!

Dude, it is weird to me. I think babies are in this 'fugue state' where they feel they can say things and perhaps they think they actually are but seldom do the words exit their mouths. My eldest at an early age said a clear sentence like, "Ba-bye Daddy!" when it was obvious I was on my way to work. I remember it clearly although it was over 6 years ago.

XBox: Baby-bloggin'! LOL!

Jen: He'll be 10 months in about a week. I don't think Ace knows what he is saying, but he can mock what we say to some degree.

Hossman: Appropriate use of curse words is a must! No atter what age. :D

Stephen: Cool!

One of my daughters first words was "shit". She said it when she dropped a shoe. It was my sign that perhaps it is time to clean up the language. However, she used it appropriately so I am still very proud!

My Little Man "talks" nonstop and is stringing a couple of words together now and again but he cant say his name nor say things like Ace can yet

He's just Baby-Bloggin'!

I reckon I'd drop a baby if it actually spoke at me for the first time.

The stuff that doesn't make sense, record it and play it back when he's older to translate.
