T Minus 7 Days

Wow, how time flies! In 7 days Ace will be one year old! Can you believe it? I sure can’t!

I plan on writing a post to publish on his birthday that recaps his first year of life. Keep your eyes peeled for that one… 😀

In the meantime we Momma will be planning out all the details for his first birthday party. I think there are 30-40 people coming… This party requires much more planning than I am capable of. I’m just guessing, but I think ordering pizza and picking up a 12 pack from the drive-thru on the way would not fly on this special day. 😀

If things go well and I actually remember to bring my camera (which I usually forget) I should have some cool pics from the party for everyone to see.

We’ve already bought Ace’s birthday present. What do you buy a kid that has everything under the sun except for a wagon? You buy him a wagon, a race car, and a toy piggy bank of course. 😀

wagon

Everyone coming to the party asks what to get him. We’ve been telling everyone to by him clothes or give him money to help cover his portion of the bills for his savings account.

However, if any one I know through the blogosphere would like to get him something for his birthday you can get him a set of these…

dog-food-bowls

or one of these…

toilet

Out of all the toys he has, he would much rather eat dog food, splash in the dog’s water bowl, or play in the toilet. Go figure… 😀

Correction daddy………47 have RSVP’ed so far! I really thought long and hard before sending out invitations, and believe me there are people who have not responded and a few have declined. But who do you not invite? My family is very close (you know that), he has 2 sets of God-parents, and my closest friends Jen, Lori and Katie are the only aunts the poor boy has! Are we being a little extravagant, sure, but he only turns 1 once! How time has flown, my baby is growing up, and Momma can’t believe it!

    Hey

I am right there with you on the presents thing, I think I could buy my girls all the presents in the world and they would be more interested in the fridge magnets or my cell phone I leave around!

oh, i totally want that wagon. and hey, don’t worry about it. my kid goes for her toys LAST, books, first and everything else that’s fun is either some form of garbage or kitchen-housed item.

happy birthday. after planning a kid’s party, i seriously suggest that you give mommy a present, too, for all of the hard work she’s putting in. 😉

Thats so true about the weird things kids would rather play with than their toys.

Baby L has a thing for cellphones, computers, and purple cd cases.

I understand the flashy lights on the first two attract her attention, but come on… a purple cd case?

She likes to play in the dog food as well.

Michael: Oh man…fridge magnets. He plays with them at Grandma’s all the time. I heard through the grapevine that Grandma is getting him his very own set of Alphabet fridge magnets for his birthday.

Zoeyjane: Garbage is always cool! My little guy is a human vacuum cleaner. I don;t know how he digests all that stuff. 😀 Never thought about getting Momma a present…I’m not good at that kind of stuff. Thanks for the advice. 😀

    DadSpeed: Purple CD cases. LOL!

Kim: Yup. Momma is sad he is turning one. I’m kinda excited. He’s growin up! 😀

Honeybell: Oh I can;t wait for it to warm up! Ace was to little last Spring and Summer to spend much time outside. This summer is going to be sooo much fun! 🙂
