Daa eee!

So as you all know, I shaved my head…and I have kept it shaved…and like it.  It is actually much easier to maintain and much more comfortable than having a head full of hair.  Anyways…

I was surprised that Ace didn’t really seem to notice though.  He did not look at me funny.  He did not want to touch the cue ball.  He acted like he didn’t even notice.  Maybe he is just like any other guy and doesn’t pay attention to details like when someone cuts or colors their hair.  I’ve been known to not notice Momma’s hair cuts before…maybe Ace just gets it honest??

Not a big deal.  Actually I’m glad he didn’t seem to notice.   I was afraid it would freak him out and he wouldn’t know who I was and run away from the bald guy!  😐

However, we recently found out that he did notice.  He was watching TV with his Grandpa S. the other day when a Mr. Clean commercial came on.  Ace pointed at the TV and said “Daa eee” (Daddy in Ace lingo).

"Daa eee!"

Maybe it was our other similarities (other than the shiny melon) that made Ace think that Mr. Clean was “Daa eee”…bulging muscles, tan skin, white eye-brows, and good looks?  😆  It’s a good theory…

A couple days later Momma and Grandma S. took Ace to the mall.  They were strolling along and Ace pointed at an older man with a shaved head and said “Daa eee!”  This guy was nothing like me or Mr Clean.  No bulging muscles, he was as pale as as a ghost, and definitely not a looker.  😆

Well, we can throw my previous theory out the window….

So now pretty much any man with a shaved head is “Daa eee!”

Man, I hate competition… 😆

It’s a good thing he did not freak out. When I was two my dad shaved his mustache (first time in 10 years and has not shaved it since) and I cried and would have nothing to do with him for days. At least that’s what my parents tell me. TOo funny.

I think my wife would hang me if I shaved my head. I am jealous of the low maintenance aspect. I am not sure what use it is other than decoration.

  3. VegasDad says:

Welcome to the club. You’ll save a lot of money on shampoo. However, try not to get sunburned. It hurts.

  4. Annie says:

    ha ha. Too hilarious!

I think your Head shaving series are going to be a Google search feeds 😉

  5. Casey says:

My kid thinks any random guy is his dad, even though my husband works from home and he sees him all day every day. Kids are weird.

Glad you didn’t scare the kid though.

  6. KylieM says:

haha .. oh dear! My boys are pretty good, if I get a hair ‘change’, I get ‘you look beautiful mummy’ and invariably they notice before their dad! (oh yeah I have moved websites.. just thought Id let you know :))

  7. Type your comment here. This was cute – the things kids notice amazes me. My daughter prefers my hair in a pony tail and doesn’t hesitate to ensure that I know this. She also doesn’t like it in its natural wavy state.

When she was little, men from work would call me at home. More than once she mistook them for her dad – which totally freaked them out!! 😉

DaddyKV…My dad does the same thing. It still freaks me out when he shaves his mustache. I don’t ever plan to put Ace through that though. I look like a 12 yr old boy when I shave mine. 😀

Orlund…Hair is overrated. 😀 My wife used to be against it, but now that I have done it, she likes it. 😀

VegasDad…Too late. I got sunburned already. It hurt like a beotch! FUnny how sensitive your scalp is. 😀

    Annie…Thanks Annie!

Casey…Kids are weird. I had a boy come up to me the other day and call me Dad. I was like, “Whoa now! Where’s the proof!” 😀

KylieM…Sounds like you have some really observant boys. I know I was always to busy playing to notice things like that when I was younger. 😀

The Exception…Haha! Ace likes his Momma’s hair not in a pony tail…so he can pull it. 😀
