I finally got the new theme for DadThing done, and am happy with it! In fact, I’m seriously considering starting a web design business. In addition to DadThing I have also also designed the following sites:
- HoylmanConstruction.com – My brother’s construction company.
- Gourmet Art Studio – My friend Jurate is an awesome artist, go check out her artwork!!!
- Sabrina’s Brown Bag – My wife’s new party business website!
All of these were designed from scratch…no FrontPage or DreamWeaver or any of that crap…just plain ole’ HTML and CSS typed in Notepad.

Oh, yeah…I have also started a new Reviews Section at DadThing. In the Reviews Section I plan to review items that can either be used by a Dad, or their children and family.
I’ve already got quite a few interesting products to review on the way, and and will continue to pursue other cool guy products.

@Chuck: Thanks…I really enjoy it. I’ve tinkered with programming for many years. I used to write PC software for http://www.rentron.com, but have recently moved to more of the web style programming.

My experience with css is that an omitted comma or one too many semi-colons and you’ve got one hell of a mess!
You’re very brave.
@Ed: Yeah, I had quite a few messes to work out when I first started. But, after I got a technique down, it really is not that hard.
It looks great, very clean and simple. I like it a lot! I am going to add you on my blog fathers section today. If you do go into web design let us know. I am always looking for someone to help breathe some life into my blog!

I recently re-launched my blog (thenewdadguide.com), decided to make the switch to wordpress so I know all to well the fun of working with CSS/themes. Must say your blog looks great. I love the clean look!
Hah! just goes to show how scrambled my brain is, miss typed my web URL… don’t want to take credit for someone elses!
