Frosted Flakes Give A Way!

One thing I definitely remember about my childhood  is eating Frosted Flakes for breakfast.  I like them extra sweet!  My Mom was nice enough to let my cover the cereal with a butt load of sugar.  It made the cereal that much more inviting, and then drinking the sugar flavored milk was a perfect way to finish up the bowl.  I still eat my Frosted Flakes that way!  :D

The reason I am writing about Frosted Flakes is because there is a contest going on.  It is called the  “Share What You Love about Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes®” contest…

The Kellog’s Frosted Flakes Facebook page is hosting a contest where they asked moms and dads across the country to submit their story about how they share their love of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes® with their kids.

All of the entries have already been submitted and five finalists have been picked.  Now it is our duty as Frosted Flakes lovers to go and vote for the winner, who will receive a V-I-P breakfast and practice session with major league baseball legend, and New York Yankees legend Tino Martinez, and Tony the Tiger™ in their hometown.

So why should you go vote?  Because you can win two free boxes of Frosted Flakes for your family!

Just go to the Kellog’s Frosted Flakes Facebook page, cast your vote for your favorite story, then come back here and leave a comment stating that you voted.  You can submit up to one vote per day on the Kellog’s Frosted Flakes Facebook page, so I will also allow one comment per day for entry into the Frosted Flakes Give A Way.

Voting ends on 12/6, so go cast your vote and win some free cereal..!

Note: Kellogs Frosted Flakes supplied me with samples of their product for review purposes, and to also give a way on this site.

Trick Or Treat

I have been out of town for work for almost 2 weeks now and had to miss Trick Or Treat this year.  Really a bummer because I really like to walk Ace around town getting candy and looking at all the cool costumes that people come up with…

Ace kept me in the loop though.  He sent me a picture message showing me what he looked like in his costume, and I wanted to post it here for everyone to see…

Happy halloween!

By the way, I hate this f’ing costume and I don’t want to trick or treat either!

Love,
Ace the giraffe

Would You Give Candy To This Kid?

I found a post about creating your own freaky Halloween pics written by one of my favorite bloggers, Lotus.  So, I decided to try it myself…

What do you think?  Should I try to recreate these looks for Trick Or Treat?  :D

Sacrifices

I have found that part of being a Dad is learning to accept the fact that you will sacrifice some things…

Just a few examples…

  • walking around the house naked
  • having dirty magazines/movies in the house
  • sleeping in to nurse your hang over
  • drinking enough to get a hang over
  • steaming up the car windows in the back seat of the car (unless you are extremely flexible…and/or short…and can maneuver around the car seats, which I am neither)

… you know… all the things that most young, child-less guys do.  :D

Today, however I had to sacrifice something that I won’t be able to do again.  I missed out on something that I will never be able to see again.  The first glimpse of this…

Ultrasound Picture At 21 Weeks

I had to go out of town for work and couldn’t make the appointment.  :(

We are planning on doing another 3D Ultrasound, and I will not miss that one.  I will take off the whole week if that’s what it takes to guarantee me being there.  :D

The doctor said there is a 95% chance we are having a girl.  Time to start thinking of names, desensitizing myself to pink and purple, buying a shotgun, and memorizing the chorus to this song…. :)
