As many of you know I am a travel some for work, and whenever there is something I really want to do, I end up being out of town that day.
Well, tomorrow, Halloween, is one of those days. It is Ace’s first Trick Or Treat and there is a very good chance that I will miss out on it.
I got a call today informing me that I have to be in Baltimore, MD on Halloween day. I can’t say no…it is my job. This kind of thing is expected, but still sucks!
However, I am not giving up hope. From what I’ve been told, this should be an easy job. My flight gets in to Baltimore at 9:30 AM and I should be in the jobsite around 10:30 or 11:00. If I work for three hours and get the machine fixed I can catch a flight out at around 4:00 PM and be home around 6:00 PM when Trick-Or-Treat starts.
My fingers are crossed…
Hey Jared, that’s a tough break, but like you said, it’s your job. I’m sure your wife will get plenty of pictures, although I really hope you make it back to take them yourself! Travel safe!
If you have more time in Baltimore look me up…I am not far. Just kidding, next time. Hey, that sux, but you want to be there and that is what matters dude. Good parents think about stuff like that, whereas lame-o’s just say something like “Oh well, lets hit the strip club.” You are the man regardless.
That is a tough break. I hope you can get back quickly. Trick-or-treating is awesome, especially because you get much of the candy.
Here’s to getting back on time and rustling up a whole mess o loot with Ace tomorrow night! *clink* (I’m enjoying my favorite part of the day – cruising da blogs, drinkin Jack, and droppin comments — and I even posted mine tonight, so I am done!).
Ouch man. I hope you can make it in time. But you do know that because you have planned out your entire trip that nothing will go the way you planned right? Please prove that Murphy’s Law and what I just said here is a bunch a BS. GodSpeed sir.
Hope you get back in time.
@Everyone: Thanks for wishing I make it back in time…check out my next post to see if I did or not!!!
Yikes! I hate it when work gets in way of family time. 🙁
